Hi! I’m Rebecca. I’m a wife, artist, crafter, and aunt to four amazing little boys. I love creating, anything and everything. If it can be DIY-ed, I’ll attempt it!
I was born and raised in Orange County, lived as a young child in Washington State, and moved to Colorado shortly after high school. I now live in Riverside, CA with my wonderful husband. This year, we celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We met before I moved to Colorado, about 12 years ago, through one of my older sisters. We reconnected on Facebook 7 years ago and shortly after began dating.
Together we enjoy traveling by train, watching the New York Jets, and relaxing while listening to music. My taste in music spans from Alternative Rock to Zydeco (VERY broad) with my favorite artists being Modest Mouse, Ferry Corsten, and Cold War Kids. Together, we love to attend shows and concerts.
I run two small art businesses from my home – RebeccaSteenCrafts and RebeccaSteenPaints, as well as a jewelry business, RSA Studios, while Eric works more than full time as an Engineer for Yoshimura-RD. We both love what we do!
RebeccaSteenArt is my way of sharing not only my art and crafts, but also my personal stories and journey. Here I will share the things that make me, me, as well as tutorials for crafts, current and upcoming events and sales for both my shops, and also my struggles with depression and anxiety.
Here are a few details about me —
I LOVE beer – as you can see from the above photo.
I can’t watch scary movies, as I have nightmares very easily.
My sister Vicki is one of my closest friends, even though we are constantly at each other’s throats.
I love people watching, anywhere I go. I think people are fascinating.
I worked in Retail Management for 5 years before I decided to go out on my own as an artist.
I enjoy reading and always think the book is better than the movie or show.
My favorite color is emerald green, so my engagement ring is an emerald. Most people think I wear an emerald because my favorite football team is the New York Jets
I can’t cartwheel, I never could.
My husband and I are living Childfree due to Permanent Combined Infertility.
